Mission
The Fishin Mission is a friendly club that focuses on fun and fellowship through the great sport, hobby and pastime of fishing. More than 50 million Americans fish each year-that is more than play golf or tennis combined. Our club allows individuals or families to discover or re-discover this great American pastime.
The Fishin Mission founders, Scott Harris and Ken Jones came up with the concept for the club when they realized how many people they knew who had a desire to become fishermen, or become better fishermen, but did not have a vehicle to accomplish this.
The Fishin Mission is a great way to learn more about fishing, meet new friends, learn tips from professionals, and have fun fellowshipping with other fishermen. We are blessed to be able to offer this worthwhile effort to re-connect families in our community through fishing. Families can discover that fishing is an activity that allows them to have fun and grow closer together, because time spent on the water connects people.
There is no membership to join and food is available at very reasonable prices. The club meets the last Thursday of each month from 7-9 p.m. at Smileys Coffee House at 12685 Ulmerton Road in Largo, FL. Smileys is adjacent to the Medical Center. The Fishin Mission covers topics of interest on saltwater fishing, boating, conservation and safety. Door prizes, contests and fun topics will make the Fishin Mission Fishing Club a monthly event that you will not want to miss.
